Forum office hours: what we moderate and why

We delete only three categories of posts: harassment, active credentials, and legally sensitive material we are not equipped to vet. Everything else gets tags from moderators who volunteer in public channels. That visibility matters when someone asks why their thread was moved.

Office hours rotate across Seoul and remote APAC times so students in other cities still catch a human. We cap simultaneous questions so answers stay specific. If a thread grows heated about vendor choices, moderators redirect toward measurable acceptance tests instead of opinion duels.

Students sometimes request permanent logs of every edit. We explain tradeoffs: immutable logs help accountability but discourage honest revisions when someone realizes they overshared employer architecture. Our compromise keeps diffs for thirty days then aggregates anonymized stats about recurring topics—which informs curriculum updates.

If you want to help moderate, reach out after you complete any bootcamp; we train you on tone before handing keys.
